World Environment Day 2025 was observed with great enthusiasm on 5th June at Gwbwrki Bazar, Chirang. The program was led by Dr. Anosh Narzary, Assistant Professor of Bengtol College, NSS Programme Officer, and RUSA Coordinator. The event was a collaborative initiative by the NSS Unit of Bengtol College, Runikhata College, and the Environmental and Forest Department, Khungring, aimed at raising environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable practices.
Activities undertaken
- Tree Plantation Drive to promote greenery and biodiversity.
- Cleanliness Drive to emphasize waste management and hygiene.
- Environmental Awareness Programme featuring talks by officials and faculty.
- Friendly Football Match between Bengtol and Runikhata College to promote unity and fitness with an environmental theme.
