The Department of Philosophy of Bengtol College organized an educational tour from 25th to 29th October 2023 in the picturesque setting of Sikkim, Gangtok, with the primary goal of enlightening students from various fields. Principal Dr. Ranjit Kr. Narzary granted permission for two teachers, Dr. Anosh Narzary and Mr. Mijink Borgoary, to guide the students throughout the journey. During the trip, students were confronted with the cloud bursts and the poignant effects of flooding in Sikkim, evoking a sense of sadness and empathy. They explored ten different viewpoints, including Buddhist monasteries, Hanuman Tok, and Ganesha Tok, developing into the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the region. The students also engaged in discussions on plant conservation in Sikkim, deepening their understanding of environmental stewardship. This excursion was a transformative experience that broadened their horizons in both philosophical and practical ways.
