Department of Education
Department of Education came into existence with the establishment of Bengtol College in the year1981. However, the actual formal classes started only in 1997. After 18 years of its inception this department along with other departments received affiliation and permanent affiliation from the Gauhati University in 1999 and 2009 respectively. Mrs. Manju Boro was its founder head .Since the establishment; the Department has been rendering its services for fulfilling the needs and aspirations of the people of greater Bengtol area in general and the students of Education department in particularities all over India.
The subject Education is a multidisciplinary subject, as it touches almost every aspects of human life. The department has started major courses from the session 2003- 2004. Till then it is earning popularity and producing a good number of quality students every year. The subject is really playing a vital role in the college and society from the time of its inception, as it enables people to understand the value of education, and also it encourages the students to participate in the growth and development of society.

Department has a well equipped Psychological laboratory and Department has a good collection of more than 500 textbooks, references and Question banks as well as that are accessible for both students and teachers. The Department has a computer with Internet facility and also its own Wall magazine.
