About the Cell:
Bengtol College has one Boys Hostel established in the year 2019 namely Bodofa U N Brahma. The boys’ hostel is situated inside the college campus. Boys ‘Hostel accommodates 18 students at a time and another 18 students to be accommodated once the under-construction first floor is completed.
Boy’s hostel is well furnished and equipped with three single bedded shared rooms, common lavatory and bathrooms, a spacious dining hall and purified water supply facility for drinking purpose. The students are encouraged to participate in cultural activities, sports and games. Hostel admission is purely on rules and regulations set by the college governing body. The Cell includes the Principal (Chairman), Superintendent, Resident Tutor, Members, Prefect and student representative.
Boys Hostel is named after BodofaUpendraNath Brahma who was a Bodo Social Activist and a prominent visionary leader of the All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU). He dedicated his life towards the cause of social Justice and the upliftment of marginalized communities which inspires many young generationsas a symbol of hope and a true champion of their cause. In recognition of his vision and leadership, UN Brahma was posthumously conferred with the title of Bodofa, which means Father of Bodos. In honor and to uphold his legacy, Boys Hostel is named after him as a source of determination among the Boarders.
Aims & Objectives:
- To provide a home away from home for the students.
- To offer a conducive atmosphere for the interchange of thoughts and ideas.
- To ignite awareness of social and moral values through education
- To accommodate considering the problem faced by the far flank students taking admission in Bengtol College.
Composition:
Boys’ Hostel Management Cell is formed to govern and manage the functioning of Boys Hostel. The cell was formed in the year 2019. The committee comprises:
