About the Cell:

The Canteen Management Cell has been formed on 23rd March 2013. This cell has been formed with an aim to improve and monitor the functioning of the canteen smoothly. The main purpose of the cell is to provide better quality of tea, snacks and food items to the students and staff. There is a separate building for canteen in the college campus and it is run and looked after by local entrepreneur.  The cell is responsible for regular monitoring and supervision of the canteen operations. It aims at providing a variety of quality food and beverages at affordable rates. The canteen can be used whenever the students are free and hungry. The cell by monitoring the canteen helps in developing the quality of food served and in minimal price so that the students can afford to have healthy food. The cell in order develop the canteen and food often takes feedback from the students so that there can be scope of improvement. It also tries to appraise the canteen owner/ vendor for providing quality, hygiene and clean environment of the canteen and its surrounding area. The cell always emphasizes in maintaining a peaceful and friendly environment in the canteen for students and visiting guests. The recommendation and suggestion of the staff is always welcomed for improvement of the canteen. The canteen of the college serves as the source of income though the revenue generation is very minimal. The cell meets twice a year for improvement and prices of food items and also for other canteen related matters.

Composition:

The Cell is comprised of the following members:

  1. Chairman (Principal).
  2. Co-Ordinator.
  3. Two members.

Aims and Objective:

  1. To ensure an effective canteen service to provide healthy and quality food.
  2. Provide an enjoyable nutritious, attractive selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices.
  3. Demonstrate high standard of food safety and hygiene in relation to the preparation, storage and serving of food.
  4. To forward the demands of students and staff to the In-Charge of the canteen.
